Maybe bronski also can read this (and also for other can see the pictures if the images above don't appear)

It's near bronski's place (tangerang), however

It's hail. While it's rare in the tropics, it is possible, unlike snow. But, I've only experienced it once in my life, like 5 years ago. There's like chunks of ice on the street.
And it's worse than the picture you gave.

For hails to form, you need thunderstorms and cool air (above, not the ground). While thunderstorms are abundant in the tropics, the air is too warm and that's why it's rare.

Some of the worse hail storms in the US occur in the Souther state. The largest hail I ever saw was in Louisiana

In the Southern states it usually occurs on very hot summer days when there is a lot of high atmospheric turbulence.

Hail and sleet are 2 different weather conditions. Hail forms at High altitude on hot days when the high is very turbuland. Tornadoes are often accompanied by hail. Hail is not frozen rain.

Sleet is Frozen rain and occurs on very cold days in which rain freezes as it falls into the colder lower altitude. It is much smaller than Hail

Sleet develops under very specific weather conditions. It is difficult to forecast. It is similar to freezing rain with the respect that it makes slippery conditions, but another difference between the two is that sleet is easily visible and does not stick to objects while freezing rain is transparent and sticks to everything.

Sleet often falls with snow and rain. It occurs only during winter, which makes it different from hail that can fall during any time of the year.

It's interesting that most of the hail happened in the spring/summer.

You need thunderstorms to form hail and those are the times where thunderstorm are most likely to occur. Thunderstorms are formed by warm, humid air which is why they mostly happen in summer.
