8pm dusk prayer + break the fast
9.30pm night prayer...
Sleep for about 2 hours
12am light meal (desserts)+ morning/dawn prayer, and sleep again
7.00am which means current 9am, wake up
The pre-midinght sleep just after night prayer maybe functions as a "late nap"
Or I will sleep right after the morning prayer, (about 12.30am or so) because the night is so short. If the current DST system is used, I can't go to bed till about 2.30am, and must wake up as late as 7am.
Muslims have dusk prayer just after sunset, night prayer at end of the twilight stage, and morning prayer at dawn. In the midsummer, the times tend to the midnight. Muslims fast from shortly before dawn - shortly after sunset.
I've heard Ramadan is going to be in our midsummer for the next few years. I have no idea how anybody can manage to fast for that long every day for a month, particularly in a country like ours where life for most people just goes on as normal (We have a few Muslims where I live, but I don't personally know any). If you were fasting somewhere with 17-18 hour days would you get up extra early to have breakfast before sunrise / do you have to do prayers at sunrise?
^^ the timezone there also offcentered. In summer days near the polar day, sunset times approach 2am. (different prayer times used for the case of polar night/day)

For ridiculous daylengths, people can fast using Mecca's time, which isn't as bad considering it is only 21 degrees from the equator. In midsummer, I think that it is about 16 hours. Also, after about 12 hours of not eating you don't feel very hungry anymore (which is strange).
While fasting ends at sunset, it doesn't start at sunrise. I think it starts 10 minutes before astronomical dawn. In here, fasting lasts for about 13-14 hours, which is reasonable.
