Halong Bay doesn't look like that. Its scenic landscape is set admist the sea unlike Guilin where it is by the Li River, hence the much more muddy waters. The second picture shows a non-evergreen climate, which is more likely with Guilin's 5°C avg low in winter than the Hong Kong'ish winters of northern Vietnam.
