my koppen map didnt have puerto rico as an aw climate
Yeah, the thing about Puerto Rico is that it has a lot of microclimates. Where I used to live is an Am climate, but 15 miles east and it's Af, and back to Am. The southeast is the Am/Aw transition zone, with most of the southern coast having an Aw climate with BSh pockets. The interior mountains are a mix of Af, Am with borderline subtropical highland (but very high rainfall) in Adjuntas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adjuntas#Climate
