I was born in north Poland by the Baltic Sea and I love this climate!
Now I am living in south Texas. Go figure...

Rain, if it was more evenly spread out i'd be happy enough.
Being on a sea loch changes our temps. There really is no weather forecast for our area. The closest we can get is Glasgow and the weather is often much different even though it's only 26 miles as the crow flies.

Our high this past summer was about 22. I'd prefer downpours for a couple of hours a day instead of this constant drizzle.

I was born in the north of England and while I'd prefer the summers sunnier and the winters a degree or two colder, I definitely feel I was meant to live in a relatively high-latitude oceanic climate.

I was born in Sacramento, and lived near there my first 21 years. Sacramento is described as Mediterranean like climate: damp to wet, mild winters and hot, dry summers. I loved the dry summers.

Subsequently lived in Santa Barbara for 13 years recently. Its climate is also described as Mediterranean, but warmer and less dry. Because of its proximity to the Pacific, onshore breezes significantly moderate temperatures, resulting in warmer winters and cooler summers compared with places farther inland. I loved the tropical feel, and ocean breeze climate.

We recently moved to St Louis. with neither large mountains nor large bodies of water to moderate its temperature its subject to both cold Arctic air and hot, humid air from the south.

My preference is warmer, dryer climates, and moderate/cool winters. So in essence I do prefer the climate where I was born/raised. Open sky less haze lingering is a big factor.

Do they not have a forecast for Fort William?

Most years we exceed 22c. I think Islay and the like have a more
maritime climate simply because they have no land to the north and are located right ok the Atlantic. Whereas if I follow a straight line west it's 70 miles to the Atlantic.

Rain, again it's not the intensity but the duration.

I was born in temperate oceanic and generally oceanic weather is my favourite. I like it sunnier and colder than where i was born (Mar del Plata) though, like Nelson, New Zeland.

Now i live in subtropical humid and its too hot for me in every month and every day and every hour and i generally dont like it but it can have some redeeming qualities.

I'm over 100 miles from Fort William. I'm on the Cowal Peninsula.

I was born in Toronto (Dfa/Dfb) climate and moved to Vancouver as a young child. I hate my birth climate as I hate subfreezing temps and snow. I desperately wish I could live in a tropical climate one day

I was born and always lived in a hemiboreal Dfb climate.

I would like warmer and longer summers and shorter, but not necessarily warmer winters.

A borderline Cfa/Dfa climate would be perfect for me, something like this: Rostov-on-Don - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
