Well I was looking on netweather.tv. It has -5c uppers over me and 14c uppers over north dakota and winnipeg on 28th so it looks like their cold will be gone - for sure.
Nice. what I just don't get tho is why 5 inches of rain is a problem in Chicago when all that happens in miami is widespread minor street flooding and a few Isolated pockets of moderate flooding.
What is under Miami? A quick draining material like sand and limestone perhaps?
I'm betting Chicago has dirt/soil with clay not too far underneath.
Major flooding issues going on. Rivers are going over their banks. In fact Chicago is draining a certain river into Lake Michigan to relieve some pressure of the other river.
Check out the rivers in major flood stage and some of them are still rising.

I think your right. Based on what I've seen written from the long range forecasters...I would think this is the last gasp of snow/cold in the upper Plains of the USA and Canada till early November.
