the average high in July in Buxton seems to be 18,6°C, and it is only 14H00, you can still reach it without problem. usually the high temperatures are reached later in the afternoon (16-17h)

1981-2010 avg. high is 18.9°C. I think we might just reach it, if the cloud burns off

Obviously I know this normally happens, but it doesn't apply when north sea low cloud sets in. The temperature often rises to its highest before the cloud moves in then is kept cooler all the rest of the day unless it burns off again.

The temperature is not rising unless we burn off this north sea cloud.
