How expensive is an AC unit in Europe? I know most of the time it's not necessary in Northern Europe but it can come in hand at times of warm weather.
I have relatives in Greece, and now everyone has them... Not the case 20 years ago when.
Very expensive. Portable one-room units retail from 200€ to 400€.
The assumption that "ok, cold climate - no AC needed" is partly false. The buildings here are designed to keep the cold outside but not let the heat out, so due to the heavy insolation they tend to overheat in summer. My apartment faces the afternoon sun until sunset, and it's literally a sauna. It's completely normal to be 22C and sunny outside, but 28C inside. But of course you appreciate that when it's -22C outside, but still 22C inside.
And figure a bus filled with people when it's 25C outside. You'll bet it's 40C inside the bus.
Not be long to shannon reaches 30c now. I think it might actually exceed 30c.
Temp has actually dropped to 24c here where I live due to that stupid North Easterly breeze.
