The bolded quote is probably the most accurate and true statement of the century. What a shame.

<<
Geophysicist says the mini ice age will start within a few years and will last 60-80 years.
7 March 2013 – The Little Ice Age should be the story of the century, yet it’s only being announced quietly by climate scientists and solar physicists. Not a word is being mentioned by the mainstream media, who had a hand in selling the Global Warming propaganda that has become irrelevant as we slide into colder climate.

US solar scientists have announced years ago that the sun appears to be headed into a lengthly spell of low activity, which means that the Earth is far from facing a Global Warming catastrophe and actually headed into a Little Ice Age.

According to geophysicist Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera at the University of Mexico, in about 5 years the “Earth will enter a “Little Ice Age” which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity.”

The geophysicist slammed the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), saying their stand on global warming “is incorrect because only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity”.

We’re already seeing and feeling the signs of the Little Ice Age, the article continues.

“The MSM do not consider the coming of the new ice age to be news,” says Argiris. “In the Netherlands we were not informed about the spring snow storms in the USA, but every little heat wave that happens gets a lot of attention because it “proves” the earth is warming (while it is actually cooling).

That last quote is so true...

I was reading an article related to this a while ago but there's tons of article about global warming why would the government hide this big upcoming event?

BusinessMirror - Global Warming melting Mount Everest glaciers, researchers say

from the article

Quote:
A WARMING climate is melting the glaciers of Mount Everest, shrinking the frozen cloak of Earth’s highest peak by 13 percent in the last 50 years, researchers have found.

Rocks and natural debris previously covered by snow are appearing now as the snow line has retreated 590 feet, according to Sudeep Thakuri, a University of Milan scientist who led the research.

Why is the Earth always heading towards something dramatic?

LOL. Great point! Its either Global Torching or Global Frozen. LOL!

I believe we have lived in quiet times and therefore extremes (which have been witnessed recently) will be the common and eventually settles towards one of the extremes.

I still convince myself that some weather records began in the late 1800's because of some extreme events that happened that one day some people said "we have to start recording these events so we have history of it"

Well I dont know but the past four summers have been getting colder and colder. Never ever have I seen so many single figure digit days in May ever.

Since winter we have basically had temperatures rise by 5c at the very most. It may cool but I cant see the earth cooling down so quick to say:

The Next 20 winters we have an average winter high of 2c. Not gonna happen.

How it starts?

Anchorage recorded its first measurable snow of the season on September 29, 2012. With snow continuing Saturday morning, this makes their interval between the first and last measurable snow a whopping 232 days! Longest on record.

Through May 17, Fairbanks has registered 44 straight days colder than average

I suspect money is a big factor. Climate science wouldn't be half as big as it is now if there weren't a supposed climate crisis coming. Why would climate scientists start saying the world isn't warming when it's such a big source of money and research dollars for them? Also, if you're a climate scientist, why go against the grain and produce research findings that dispute the IPCC's consensus when such a thing would be disadvantageous to your personal scientific career? It can't be understated how unpopular a view it is because it seems climate change skeptics are treated almost like creationists or flat-earthers, which is beyond ridiculous even if the scientific consensus is true. Unfortunately, it's all about the almighty dollar in the world, and the field of science is no exception.

Des Moines, Iowa first snow was Nov. 6th 2012 last was May 3rd 2013. That’s 178 days between first & last.

We’ve been tracking snowstorms from October (Sandy) to May. That’s 8 months worth of snow somewhere in the lower 48! (Thats 67% of the year snow was falling somewhere)

My first snow was late October and last was late March, which is a pretty long period for us, and October snow is fairly rare.
