Very similar to where I grew up (Rochester,NY), although less snow, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
Only months I liked were May-Sept, Oct-Apr were a 7 month long crap fest. January in Phoenix is like May in the Great Lakes region

January: snowy, bitterly cold
February: the pits, why do we live here?
March: starts thawing out, everything is wet, cold, grey, and brown (we're having an early spring this year though)
April: stormy, rainy
May: magnificent, breathtaking, February is forgiven
June: lovely
July: getting hot
August: hot and gross
September: cooling off rapidly
October: gorgeous trees
November: rainy, stormy
December: chilly and wet, a little snow
