Its summers are very humid. And its winters can get extremely cold (arctic blasts).

I prefer NYC summer because Paris summer can be quite cool and dull, NYC has a more varied climate too. Paris is not as cold as NYC during winter but the fact of the extremely low sunshine hours and the gloomy atmosphere with the very chilly constant humid weather make it more unbearable than the NYC cold and sunny winter also NYC has more chance to experience a 18°C day during the winter than Paris.

New York by a million miles .

some nice cold parts in winter ,snow etc - lots of sun ,some very warm sun too .

Paris is gloomy 1660 sun hours is bordering on the insane ,and it will feel damp for long periods - in fact more gloomy than my own 1707 sun hours English town ,and that is gloooomy man . I haven't seen the sun for weeks .

The only thing in Paris favour is the chance of a very mildish day in the middle of winter - you may get thenm in NYC these days though

Yes these sunshine hours are correct, they are the 1981-2010 average sunshine hours for Montsouris station by Meteo-France.
