Yuma, AZ...last time it snowed was 1933, rarely frosts. Plant tomatoes in Oct/Nov, and done producing by May. My kinda warm....where central heat is not necessary.

It depends a lot on sunshine. 2C with bright mid-day sun in February can feel warmer than 8C and gloomy in December. I would say above freezing if sunny, and above 5C if gloomy is warm for mid-winter here. In Dec/Mar 10C+ is warm since 0-5C temps are the norm.

In terms of a climate, I'd say that a "warm winter" has a daily mean between 12 C and 18 C.
