Oceanic- Atlantic air in full control over the UK/Ireland. In fact Ireland is about as warm as southern Greece at the moment. LOL...... Rest of Europe not so mild.
Ireland juts into the Atlantic Ocean west of the rest of Europe so it can be effected by the warm, Tropical Maritime air in the Azores/nearby with ease.
Eastern Europe is 1500+ miles inland.. So pretty far from the Oceanic effect.
