Very cool in Minnesota this afternoon. Just a tiny spec on the radar map but atomic looking in person. :-)

Very pretty If there's one thing I enjoy about the prarie and western states is those long, long sight distances This photo reminds of the time I was driving along the front range of the Rockies between Boulder and western Denver, and I could see towering thunderheads with their bottoms cut off by the horizon, meaning they were very, very far away. Sure enough, once I got checked into the hotel for the night, I clicked on the Weather Channel (this was before smart phones...lol) and saw there was a line of big storms in western Kansas - the very storms I'd just seen in person, something like over 200 miles away.

Amazing

NWS NY for the area. Looks like warm and humid next couple days. Next chances of 90s after Wednesday will be mid month sometime.

A FEW SPOTS IN THE CITY COULD REACH HEAT INDICES OF
95 ON TUESDAY. SO FAR IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THERE WILL BE 2
CONSECUTIVE DAYS OF WIDESPREAD 95+ INDICES IN THE CITY THIS
WEEK...BUT THIS WILL NEED TO BE WATCHED WITH FURTHER UPDATES.

THERE IS A MODERATE RIP CURRENT RISK MONDAY..

Its been since 1981 when they went past July 2nd without hitting it. Wow.

Average is June 10
Latest they ever went was August 10, 1891

hot and humid again for the next three days. Looks like a decent chance of thunderstorms and rain, then dry and a bit cooler afterwards.
