Some Leaves changing color in Ohio thanks to cool nights. Interesting.

I remember end of August seeing some leaves start changing here. It was a surreal scene and very eerie.

Seen that in a couple trees here, too. I think it's from the hotter temperatures though as nights have been warmer than normal.

EDIT: Probably the fact that it's been very dry besides yesterday and today

Latest Euro00z 850mb temps & anomaly for Wednesday. Translates to 70s during July afternoon some 60s.

Euro says it Stays below normal through the end of its run until August 3rd in the TN Valley and parts of Southeast..... while New England goes normal to above normal starting next Friday. What else is new for here this year.

I really don't believe this chart. If this were true, CNJ should see lows around 50 F. The coolest night in forecast is only 58 F, which is only 5.5 F below average lows in this area. This "polar vortex" stuff is a hoax.

Not sure how you got 50F but I have a cool conversion chart that a meteo made. I'll post when I get back home. I think it means mid 50s there. 58 is conservative as usual by them but you never know the details like cloud cover that might prevent a drop to low-mid 50s.

Its not extreme looking but the air mass is cold for this time of year. Its the same as getting 20s in the winter for us. Not extreme, but below normal.

On phone but here's the Euro minimum Wed morning. Nothing extreme but below normal.

Its the Highs we should look at. Apparently the max temps are more impressive then the lows. I wonder why.

Ithaca recorded a high of 68°F yesterday. There was a strong northwest wind (and airflow yesterday) in the afternoon. I think that would depress highs more than lows. Low yesterday was 48°F, which isn't as unusual as sunshine and 68°F.
