Are you sure it's only for one or two hours when the low falls below 20C even on clear nights with your usually very low dew points? Doesn't seem right to me.

This morning Chicago/MDW had a low of 21C/70F, and hovered around that pretty much all night, but it was cloudy. Dew Points weren't high either. I was out until 2AM, Couldn't tell if it felt cool because I was too drunk

Yeah, it usually is. If it's below seasonal it does drop significantly but usually it goes like this:

11PM: 18-22 C
12AM: 17-20 C
1AM: 16-19 C
2AM: 16-19 C
3AM: 15-18 C
4AM: 12-15 C
5AM: 12-14 C
6AM: 13-16 C
7AM: 17-20 C

Here's an example: July 8th. Temperature hit 33ºC. Hot but not extremely.

Big line of storms split into two main sections of lightning. It's already making preparations to avoid Lexington...

Not a chance I would do that here in this city. City-wide I wouldn't do it, even the NICE areas have some issues.
Yeah perfectly safe, although I live outside of the city in a town about 17 miles from the centre of London.. there are some rougher areas but generally it is safe around here.. I regularly walk home from town after a night out if I have had a few drinks and can't drive, although there are a few areas I would avoid. If I was living in Camden, Brixton or somewhere like that I probably wouldn't leave the house after 10pm lol

That's 6 hours below 20C. In other words most of the night.

Yes,, but that' very much above normal and those minimums are still pretty cool by our standards. I do envy how easily the air warms in climates with low humidity/dew points. It's harder to heat wet air than dry air.

This July has been a complete disaster, last July was also below normal, but 2012 was epic. This is the kind of morning I like to have in July

July 6th 2012 (Chicago/MDW)

no, please. It makes me remember the horrible January 23th we had this year here. 28.2ºC/37ºC and 47ºC of HI with an average dp and humidity of 25ºC and 65%. It was a nightmare.

Christ, that's a hot and humid night.
And to think I've been struggling to sleep here recently as its a bit warm in my house!

A lot of people must've struggled in that heat. Those without ac must've had an awful time.
