I lost my thermometer, but I'd guess my room temperature has dropped into the low 60s several recent mornings. Window fan has been off.

A/C off during the day...on at night.

72° right now and stuffy! No wind outside so not even gonna try to open windows and doors. 80° outside.

Last 3 days inside

The temp creeped up a bit today, it's 24C right now. Still cooler than the predicted low, so I'll keep everything shut all night long.

@donar: I can't believe your place is already nearing 30C. What hellish indoors temps did you endure last summer?
^^ I didn't have a thermometer back then but it was hellish indeed. A heat trap par excellence, under the roof and practically no air circulation as the next wall is only 3 m away. When I open the window I get nothing but mosquitoes This is definitely the last summer here, though.

Is it that hard to install screens? You can always add one of these even if the frame doesn't support a separate screen

yeah I had them but eventually they were broken and I was too lazy to install new ones. Last summer I slept with open windows nevertheless although it barely cooled down the room. Aircraft noise is another big issue here, it starts at 5 AM so it's sometimes a tough decision.

During the worst nights I didn't sleep in this room though.

Uhh, are they bad there this year?

Was there last year all summer and had only 1 or 2 in four months of being there.

Slept with the window full open without a screen whenever it wasn't raining.

yeah quite bad this year. Last year was much better in this regard. The nearby forest is a no-go zone.

Earlier I said that it was hovering around 73-75 F (23-24 C) now it's at 75-77 F (24-25 C) mostly. It's warm and muggy inside more often than I like.

Is this a cultural thing or what? I've never seen window screens in Europe but they are ubiquitous in North America. Do Europeans like bugs or something?
