Personally I want a hot summer here in Chicago. Don't know if I'm going to get one, but I believe in Ying and Yang. We had an epic cold winter, and now the I want the Yang

Here's max temp for the year so far.
Didn't Chicopee and some other neighboring station record similar temperatures?

FYI, I don't like the heat at all. My hope is that we go the entire summer without hitting 90 F once. Sadly, that has never happened here. So, according to accuweather's 45 day (Quite unreliable), NYC has no 90 F temps in forecast even into late June.

I would love that forecast to hold up .

Here was the max temps that day. 90 is technically only 2 degrees away from 88 but locations were maxing at mid-upper 80s in the area. Not even NYC, Baltimore, or Philly hit 90.. .

Maybe there was a Jumbo Jet flying by at the time of the observation at BDL.

looks like high 80s happened in that area, at least. And it was warmer than NYC and the other coastal big cities.

Not to mention waiting for the subway in the heat and the body odor of some of the folks. I would be perfectly fine if it took its sweet time getting here.

Chicago didn't "officially" hit 90 yet with ORD reaching 89F last week, but MDW hit 93 that day. Even Northerly Island on the lake front hit 91 degrees... For some reason, ORD always has one of the cooler temps compared with other stations
it is safe to say it hit 93 already
