Yes, I also see some spiders downstairs during the winter. But the total number and the average size of these "winter spiders" can't even compare to those of the "summer spiders." In Jul and Aug they're ubiquitous, but in Jan/Feb they're quite rare.

I saw what appeared to be a black widow in my house once. I don't know if they're native to this area but, whatever it was, it sure as hell scared the crap outta me.

Black widows are most certainly native here. I've seen plenty of them.

OK, so I got a message from the university warning me of poor academic performance . While I could certainly do a lot better, I'm scoring around average on most of my exams which is a B+ in grad school. So why do they think my performance is sub par ?

When your strong point breaks down (for me, its academic achievement), suicidal thoughts come to mind.

Does Hinduism consider suicide as a sin?

Not condoning suicide, I think it's rather sad and horrible but for some reason its mention made me think of this song

I dont understand. If you're scoring near average, how can your performance be "poor?" At my school, the term "poor" is reserved for those people whose cumulative GPA falls below 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale), which is generally around the 20th percentile. If you're near average, how is that possible?

Does your program have a higher standard than others? I know nursing, for example, requires maintenance of a higher GPA than say, sociology.

Walking and found a filthy sock on the sidewalk that felt hard, frozen solid lying in between dirt and ice. Looked like a sock I'd wear and was on the path from laundromat and to my home. Rescued it and it defrosted.
