I guess El Niño doesn't have that much affect on summers here aside from reduced tropical activity.

A large area in Texas has recorded no rain over the past 30 days.

18mph wind gusts is the bigger difference. Mine is less than 7mph when its that hot.. I only get those wind gusts when temps are below 85 it seems aside from with a Tstorm... But still.. 10mph breeze vs stagnate air in mid 90s helps a tad.. but I agree that either way that weather sucks! Lol

When I was in Aruba temps were constantly around 92 but winds were constantly like 20mph. I hated the sun and heat but man that wind helped tolerate the air a bit.. 50 sunblock down there!

Lol, well that's the breeze at the airport which is an open field. I'm in pretty dense apartments and houses....it's very still here. The airport always seems to receive more of a breeze than where I live from personal OBS.

You're right about the sun though....it's brutal.

Yeah, that's what sucks are my area too, except my denseness (lol) is with trees.. trees all around me blocking any little wind that might be trying to come through. I'm torn between trees and no trees for that matter but shade, oxygen, greenery/woodsy/country and beauty keeps me wanting trees. It's good we don't get many 90s I guess. Before last year we had 13 days of mid 90s+ within 3 yrs.

(I know, I know... I hear you laughing)

Just had a big storm come through...was pretty sweet. One of the better storms this summer for sure. Sun is coming back out now. Temp is apparently 89 F (32 C).

What was the low the day you claimed the low might drop into the 60's?
