Lunchtime... still no sun. What the?? Not sure if I should be happy or wonder where it is? I know it's damn hot shining down... but kinda weird not seeing it still. Forecasts have been horrific with it lately.

Not only that but I was digging for some landscape and all of a sudden started raining. Come on! No more rain!

Doesn't look like I'll clear next couple hours either. Gees.

7 day precip forecast. I wonder if that area of high rainfall over the Gulf of Mexico is a possible tropical system.

Current temps damn it's only 14C at Northerly Island in downtown Chicago, 10 miles inland it's 21C at ORD with some lake cooling, 22C at MDW, and 25C here in the south suburbs under mostly sunny skies

Hmm, I played the model loops and I don't see anything organized for another 2 weeks. Just a southerly flow there. Plus 3" over 7 days is not much. I think we would see more if it was tropical. But not sure why they have a bulls eye in the gulf there. Maybe a stalled front?

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW ORLEANS LA
829 AM CDT SAT JUN 6 2015

LONG TERM...

AS UPPER RIDGE RETROGRADES SOMEWHAT DURING THE MIDDLE OF THE
WEEK...A COLD FRONT DRIFTS TOWARD THE AREA FROM THE NORTH. WHILE
EXACT DETAILS DIFFER SOMEWHAT BETWEEN THE ECMWF AND GFS...THE
BOTTOM LINE IS AN INCREASE IN CHANCES FOR CONVECTION IN THE
FORECAST FROM TUESDAY ONWARD AS PRECIPITABLE WATER VALUES RETURN
TO NEAR 2 INCHES. THE HIGHER MOISTURE LEVELS MEAN MORE CLOUD
COVER...AND SOMEWHAT LOWER HIGH TEMPERATURES...ABOUT 3-4
DEGREES...FOR THE END OF THE WEEK
