Nuts. Probably close to the latest on record?
Latest was September 15th 1948. Meanwhile, it's been mostly in the 90sF here in Missouri.

High of 90 F today. Some clouds have moved in. I'm now in the low 80s with a 77 dewpoint. It's going to be a very muggy night tonight.

When do you think your first low under 50 degrees will be?

You trying to depress me? lol Might be next year at this pace. lol

Usually comes before mid September here.
Last year Sept 14th.
2013 was Sept 6th.

I haven't even gotten below 57 yet since June. Not going to see 40s till end of month probably. Ugh. Hope not. That sounds so refreshing right now. Just been so consist above normal since mid July

Normal low is now 55 at Danbury. 62 at Bridgeport. So 58F here.

^^ I'm surprised that a backdoor front could have that much power this time of year.

Meanwhile it's actually kind of pleasant tonight compared to what is normal for time of night. 80 F with a 69 F dew point.

Reached a high of 90 F/32 C today. Some years we struggle to reach that during the summer, let alone September. A brief respite this weekend before it heats up again.

The record high for this date is 102 F/39 C set in 1953.
