Temperatures dropping. North Adams might get some flurries overnight. We won't.
Yesterday was in the mid 40s all day, cool and misty with some light to moderate rain. Temperatures started to rise around sunset yesterday, reaching low 50s this morning. Nice sky and pleasant morning tempertatures. Then mostly cloudy and can hear some wind gusts recently.
Wind calm, then blasting so loud it's whistling. Tomorrow is forecast to be the coldest day of autumn, 43°F. But so windy, not much radiational cooling, forecast low Sunday morning only 28°F. Only a couple degrees below normal. First sunny tomorrow since Monday, though.
38 here. I see a bit of frost on the roofs of the houses down the hill, none up here of course.
Supposed to get up to 60 today under clear skies.
We're in the city (Atlanta), no frost at all here from what I can see. The sensitive plants that are normally killed at the first frost are still green and healthy, so that's confirmation for me. They're saying a potential for "patchy frost" tonight as well, so we'll see. I hope not, I like to keep those plants alive as long as possible!
Will I drop below 40 F?
Will St Simons drop below 50 F?
Will Orlando drop below 60 F?
We'll find out tomorrow morning around 6-7 AM.
Well, now that I finally have access to my computer, let's look at the results!
KTBR: Yes! Hit 37 F at 7:15 AM. Tied for lowest of the season so far. I could get lower tonight!
KSSI: Yes! Hit 45 F at 6:53 AM. First low below 50 F this season.
KORL: Just barely. Hit 59 F at 6:53 AM. The record for latest "50s" of the season has only been tied rather than broken. Tommy can rest now.
Finally some colder weather for the south Atlantic US!
