My dad used to be a pilot and would tell me that this plane was faster than any plane that's out today....why did they discontinue this plane?
The crash in 2000 was partly a reason, but it was also very expensive and cost more to maintain than it generated in revenue, so it was a financial drain. Most people couldn't afford to fly on Concorde.
It was the fastest commercial airliner ever, and one of the fastest planes that ever flew - faster than any fighter jet today. Only the elusive SR-71 Blackbird was faster, I think.
It was well ahead of its time - first flew in 1969. Last saw it in 2000 when it landed at Leeds Bradford. I was at school at the time actually.
You are from N.I. Even 25C is "heat" for you, so how on earth can 33C not be hot enough?!? You will be melting in that as it is (if you ever leave the airconditioned room of course)...

For the same reason British tourists visit Death Valley. Or even go to Florida in the summer. Why? Unless they need to travel in the summer because of school holidays.

Lol, they come here all the time in the summer and turn into lobsters.

But the fact remains that 33C IS hot for him
He will melt in that heat & be burnt to a crisp if he goes out into the sun (not likely I know as the malls will be the only thing he leaves the hotel for)
Yes, he thinks of hot weather as a novelty and something to experience while traveling. Seems silly to me, but rather common among British tourists.

He said I was going to do sightseeing on this trip, dunno.

I knew Alex would avoid my question like the plaque. How can someone who lives in a run down area be an Airline pilot? They make at least £60,000 per year.
There's never anything as rude as ignoring people.

I'm surprised the same doesn't happen to Australians - most of them I see are about as pale as most Brits, which probably explains the sky high rate of skin cancer.
