There's also one called Sapporo, I believe (a city I am mainly familiar with for being such an amazingly snowy climate, lol )
I've had Sapporo before - it's not a bad beer. Oh yeah, I'd LOVE to visit Sapporo someday, in January of course, so I can experience some of their legendary ocean effect snows. They actually have heated streets there, to keep them drivable...lol.

Are you good at betting on the horses? We used to hit the tracks occasionally in winter when we lived in south Florida - it's a rather fun activity on a 72-degree February afternoon. I totally suck at betting though...lol.

Those calories still count, though. I can't just force myself to forget that.

The only thing about calories I get concerned about is eating too little. I'm just eating enough to maintain weight. Given I strength train and run, I need to eat a lot, and sometimes I forget.

Love the sunlight shining through the window. Haven't had enough of that these past few days.

I'm not much of a gambler. I'll place a few really small dollar bets every now and then.

I would not be against visiting Sapporo. If I were given a free trip (in winter), I'd go.

Having a big house would mean that central heating makes more sense.
As long as you have an energy efficient boiler, it's not that expensive. Is there gas where you are, or is it oil only?

As you can see the jetstream today is right down from Greenland. It's normally up above Iceland.

I'm aware of that. I just don't worry about it. Most days I have a 1000+ calorie deficit so for 2 days out of the week that I'm 500 over isn't the end of the world. I'm still losing 1-2 pounds that week.
