Speaking of which... Wow again!

Last 14 days only 4 were above normal with the max temps. Meanwhile those red above normal maps have been posted for weeks.

Notice the lows are more above normal then the highs and so guess what the departures show for the daily or weekly. It's all because of the lows last 2 weeks.

hmm. First 10 days of Oct the average high is 70.3F at MDW and 72.5F at IKK. Normal high for first 10 days of Oct at MDW is 67.1F and at IKK it's 68.7F. Even ORD is above normal for the first 10 days of Oct... at 69.2F while normal for that station is 66.7F. So yeah were above normal

At MDW and IKK, 7 of the last 14 days had above average temps. With the exception of one day towards the end of Sep. (the 28th), most days with below average max temps were only marginally so, while above average days were well above.

I hope the above average pattern in Chicago is done with by the last week of October. I'm going to be pissed if it's like 70 F damn near November . Knowing my luck, it probably will be.

Last 14 days, counting today 5 days with max temps above normal, one exactly normal, and 8 below normal at ORD (thanks to that cut off low).

And like I said, the below average days were only marginally so, while the above average days had more significant deviations. Which is why ORD remains above average for the first 10 days of October.

That chill is in and out though mid-late week... Pattern looks anove average for at least the 6-10 day period.

Those low temperatures aren't really THAT significant this time of year.
