16 now at midnight. One degree above the record cold I've experienced. It may get down to 13 soon so if I'm awake by then, and I probably will be, that'll be my record coldest weather temp. Honestly, the teens are NOT that bad. I know I love cold weather anyway but its not as bitter as I expected. I've been in the 20s plenty and just barely in the teens and I find it enjoyable. I'm bundled up of course but if you dress right, it ain't a problem.
I had a drive a car with no heater earlier to go to the mall and do some Secret Santa shopping and it was in the mid 20s. My hands were cold though I wore gloves, but otherwise, besides minor discomfort, I'd rather be driving without a heater in the 20s than without AC in the 80s-90s and 100s like I had been this past summer. -_-
Euro00z Snowfall total. You can see the storm track with the snowfall totals.
Big snowstorm for Christmas night and next day for Northern plains, upper mid west, into Ontario and Quebec with a foot +.
If you think about... How many decent snowstorms can we get per winter?
It's not like 2 or 3 happen each week, right? Even 1 a week would be impressive. So lets say we get 3 a month. That's only 9 times the whole winter to get hit and its not like every area gets a snow hit all together.
So the percentage after each storm passes gets less and less since another week+ will have to pass; and who knows where the next one would track to..
So if this cuts to Great Lakes on Christmas, I'll have to wait till January to get a snowstorm and that's if it hits. That means other regions will miss out.
