Oh boo hoo, it's cold right now

Can people please shut the **** up about it? In just a few weeks the inevitable heat and humidity for months will start. You can't handle a few chilly days? FFS. Bunch of whiny little babies.

Low was 54 F last night, kind of underwhelming. Predicted high is 72 F today and it was already 74 F at the noon OBS way to go NWS once again for underpredicting our temperatures......I'm sooooo surprised by this (sarc).

You know I'm tired of these cloudy days with NO RAIN! All it brings is humidity, and it still manages to suck at shading us from the sun. Pour, dammit!

However on a positive note, my Dutch irises are sprouting (I planted them earlier this month) as are my carrots. My carrot crops are expected in May but with this May like weather already, maybe in early April? This is my first time growing carrots so I dunno but I'm excited nonethless! I plan to make the best of this warm weather and go fishing later, if only I can drag my boyfriend with me

It will be warmer here early next week (though I'm leaving today for Phoenix first and then Vegas)

By 'East' I see that the Northeast is missing the warmth party. As typical of Spring, while everywhere west of Chicago is rolling in warmth while everywhere east of there is recording potential record cold

44F here, normal is about 50F. Roads are very wet from the snow melt, driving on the highway you see the grass on the north side (westbound) is fully bare while the grass on the shadier south side (eastbound) is still largely covered in snow. Looks like two completely different seasons.

Tonight should be the first above freezing night we've had in a week.

The temp actually cooled off to 71 F now. With the breeze it feels really nice outside.

Average is 64/40, month is running 3 degrees below average and we have had more hard freezes than normal with last Temps in low 20s happening 2 weeks later than normal. Pretty substantial blast, 7 straight nights hit freezing and 7 straight days below 60. Today got up , 56 which busted 4 below forecast which the past 3 days have done, a solid 8 degrees below average. 2014 wasn't even this bad, it's cold was just more spread out. No 80s in the forecast though 21st has a shot, March averages 2 80 degree days, 3 if we use a newer shorter period. So far 0 and so far, far, far, less 70 and 60 degree days than normal.

Charlotte broke a record low when it dropped to 22 this morning, coldest st Patrick's day morning in 117 years. The previous record was 23. I wonder what aj thinks of that since this is so run of the mill? Ready for some heat, April better deliver.
