Earthquakes are not weather.
Neither are fires, except when created by lightning. Many times the weather (strong winds) does makes fires worse.

Going with Alaska, I could do Anchorage and that area, but Barrow would not be my cup of tea.

My personal h*ll - FL from May til

sorry - clicked too early - September. SO hot and humid and the hurricane seasons.

Arizona---150+ days of temps over 100 degrees. 4 months between rain and blowing dust that gets into everything!

True about the earthquakes, but most fires are sparked by lightning and driven by horrible winds. Does that count?

If you could do parts of states, you could say either Upstate New York or Northeastern Maine.
Unlike MN, they get almost as cold and get a lot more snow than Minnesota, except for the Duluth area.

It sort of counts, as I said before.

I might even count earthquakes. Sure, they're not weather, but they're natural phenomena and people have to put up with them.

Should have titled this: Which state has the worst overall 'natural phenomena'.
