Same here, except in the Appalachians.

a lot more humid lately. Hazy skies with white sunlight, and 15c dewpoint in 20c Temperature. Quite typical of many octobers.

I put on a denim jacket on my tshirt today and it was almost too warm.

The fall colors have yet to reach their maximum in your location, no?, when do the colors reach their peak in coastal Connecticut, around Halloween?

The leaves here in TN aren't nearly as vibrant as they should be. A lot of them died during the 40 day drought we had from Aug 27 - Oct 5. We're going to have an ugly fall thanks to that damn drought.

A little above normal so far this month but this recent cool shot put a dent in the anomalies

So much for a blow torch second half of October. Models can be such garbage. Now both the GFS and Euro showing another cold shot coming likely in response to the typhoon recurve

^^^^^^

I don’t know how many times I have to say this but the rest of fall and especially the winter season of 2019/2020 could very well be the coldest driest winter ever for some people.

One could always make that claim. "some people" is so nebulous it is meaningless

Very interesting setup happening. It's called a Transfer and a Bombogenesis. If this was winter it would be a Blizzard from NYC to Boston.

So a storm is coming from the Mid West heading to Ontario while a new storm forms in the Mid Atlantic somewhere. The inland storm will transfer its energy to the coastal storm and bomb out. Strengthen fast.

We should have over 40mph gusts for a good 12 hrs maybe Wednesday night.
