We had a high of 74F here today with a dew point of 50F and sunny skies.
I saw that high pressure locked in for FL today.

We’re supposed to get thunderstorms overnight and into tomorrow as a cold front comes through. Friday’s forecast high is 44F with a low of 30F.

High pressure stays locked in more and more as the years go by. This is the new norm to be above normal on temps.

Had a brief but fairly intense rain shower. Never got super sunny so indoor temp didn't make it past 74 I think.
Unfortunately got our first "muggy" day. Not that bad compared to summer but it wasn't nearly as comfortable as it has been.

Insane night last night, a tornado was reported in the Apollo, PA area - 5 miles from my house.

It's autumn here but couldn't find an autumn thread so here's an update for the SW Western Australian Heatwave of Early April:

Perth Heatwave Watch

Perth Metro April Record High is 37.3C on April 8th, 2013; 2013 also had a longish and strong heatwave in early April. April 10 and 11 are the two most likely days of breaking the record. We also have an outside chance of breaking the April record low of 23.4C on the 14th April 1999.

Perth Forecast BoM

April 9 - 33/17- sunny
April 10 - 36/21- sunny
April 11 - 37/22- sunny

Wunderground

April 9 - 33/17- mostly sunny
April 10 - 36/20- mostly sunny
April 11 - 37/23- mostly sunny

The hottest forecasts for the Perth Metropolitan area are in the far NE near Ellenbrook and Pearce AP (a BoM station) with 39C forecast for both the 10th and the 11th (Pearce AP has an April record high of 39.4C also recorded on April 8th, 2013)

Even if no records get broken or tied this heatwave has been very impressive. This heatwave/heat surge started on Monday and is looking to stay until Saturday or early sunday, which is 6-7 days of hot weather. Had a quick search around the state and most towns in the SW corner of the state have forecasts at or very near their April record maxima.

Great stuff. Maybe this should be renamed a combined autumn/spring thread?

Quite a difference for you from last Easter.
