Severe threat looking lower for me - downgraded to slight risk where I'm at. There have been tornado warnings across north LA this morning. PDS tornado watch issued for northeast LA and a good part of MS.

Quote:
* Effective this Sunday morning and evening from 1040 AM until
800 PM CDT.

...THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION...

* Primary threats include...
Several tornadoes and a few intense tornadoes likely
Widespread damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
to 80 mph possible
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible

SUMMARY...Intense bowing line with a history of several tornadoes in
northwest Louisiana will progress rapidly east-northeast this
afternoon. Additional semi-discrete suprecells may develop ahead of
the line as well across parts of northern and central Mississippi.
Environment is supportive of several tornadoes, some of which will
likely be strong in addition to potential widespread damaging winds.

Right now we are on pace for the latest first 90°F since I've lived here (19 years), hard to believe how much winter is trying to hang on here in the west this year

2010 didn't have it's first 90°F until Apr 15th, the latest since I've lived here, and our 7 day, which goes past that, has no 90's in it

Dropped below freezing this morning here. Now it's approaching 60F: www.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KISP.html

Even more extreme radiative cooling in Westhampton. This morning dropped to 21F (-6c), so the diurnal range will be close to 40F! www.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KFOK.html

Meanwhile NYC only dropped to a lame ass 43F (+6c).

Blazing 90's here and a month early. Fires are coming soon thanks to 4 months of no rain.

I think you’re blowing things out of proportion. While it may be dry where you are, I think it’s naive to say your area will see catastrophic wildfires before the onset of the rainy season in your area of Florida.

What an epic severe outbreak ongoing in the US right now! That's one of the main reasons why their weather is so excating to track.

Expecting close to Hurricane force wind gusts here tomorrow as a strong cyclone heads from Southern Plains towards great lakes. As usual with a GLC... rain, warm and winds here while this in Nebraska....

I'll take this over Severe weather anyday!

Meanwhile, not much in the way of new snow here but very cold for April. Possible record cold here tonight--but hope for warmer weather by the end of the week.
Sounds pretty cool.

We've had a pretty decent april and march to, here in the Toronto area.

Currently sunny and 13C / 56F.

April has been good so far, March was a bit above normal too.

I have some flowers blooming in my yard now.

Unfortunately, after tomorrow's mild 18C ...it turns below normal ...5C and 6C highs
until next weekend back up to 10C+
