Here is the Weather Channel's outlook for the 7th Month of November in the US Northeast
Literally the exact same situation in Europe with the harsh temperature split, and of course I live on the colder side .
7th month of November is exactly the right term for this crap. It's honestly absurd at this point. I am used to long winters that last from November to March, but April is usually the month where it starts warming up rapidly and May can already have summery days. But this year we have had no development at all. The temperatures have barely improved from where they were 2 months ago.
And after a more seasonal weekend this crap is going to continue.... right now we have a forecast of like 11C/52F for the middle of May.
I dont know where this is going, really. I hope for a eventual pattern switch and warmth but I am afraid that we might be in for a epic fail summer with daily highs of like 17C/65F if this continues any longer.... (Not in the US, but here in Estonia)
I think it's a joke that winter has been never ending there this year.
Winter NEVER came, and November has to leave. April highs are running -6F, so far April has been 54.4F/34.5F here, much more similar to November or March - And only 1 day above 70F so far which is quite rare by this point in the year.
Nov 2019 43.6F/24.3F - Mean 33.9F (7.4F below average)
Dec 2019 39.7F/24.1F - Mean 31.9F (1.3F above average)
Jan 2020 38.2F/23.5F - Mean 30.9F (5.2F above average)
Feb 2020 38.2F/21.0F - Mean 29.6F (1.2F above average)
Mar 2020 51.1F/30.6F - Mean 40.9F (3.0F above average)
Apr 2020 54.4F/34.5F - Mean 44.4F (-5.2F below average)
Literally every month of the last 6 has been within 15F, which is kind of crazy considering January's mean is 25.7F and April should be 49.7F - Nearly 25F difference in means.

Its frustrating because I love winter to start early and end promptly and have a nice spring but so often anymore we rarely get that. Cold late falls, warm winters, and cold springs making it seem like a winterless cold season that extends for the majority of the year.

Long, winterless cold season is exactly what is happening here too I hate cold, but I'd rather take a shorter freezing winter over this gloomy, not exactly freezing, but still uncomfortably cool season that has lasted way too long. And I would also prefer winter to begin in November and December to be the coldest month. Fall cools down very fast here where I live, so I really don't care for having extended gloomy 5C/40F weather. I'd also rather have an earlier spring.
But yeah here are the mean temps for the last months in Estonia:
November: 3.4C/38F
December: 2.6C/36.7F
January: 3.1C/37.5F (this one is an insane blowtorch)
February: 1.7C/35F
March: 2.4C/36.2F
April: around 4.5C/40F
All besides April are above average (As I said, November-March is the winter season here, but January and February are supposed to be way below freezing)

You don’t usually see pink or purple on the map. Went from way above average to way below. The patterns nowadays suck, badly. The jet stream just gets locked in. I mean, 60’s and mid 50’s where I live near Albany is still nice when it’s sunny for me but it’s not May like when it’s supposed be in the 70’s almost. It’s also very cloudy and rainy which sucks.

Wait a minute, you did not have a month with a sub 0C mean in Estonia?!?!? How is that even possible?

Our morning low was 75°F, which is a new record max low for the date, old record was 74°F set in 2007. Today's average low was 65°F.
Normal high is 90°F, and it's already 95°F as of 11am. Pretty sure we're going to overperform and see a new record high as well. Current record is 102°F set in 1943
