Yeah, it definitely was a record breaking warm winter. I guess it happened because the jet stream/pattern got locked in a way so that it kept pulling up warm air from the Atlantic. Spells of above freezing temps are actually not uncommon at all in Estonia in winter, but they usually only last a few days or maybe 2 weeks at most. This year it just managed to get locked like that for 3 months straight. And I guess now to make up for it we are locked in a long-lasting cold pattern for April and May...

Let's talk about average (normal) weather:

Posof is the lowest elevated and warmest district municipality in Ardahan Province 12 months of the year.

Göle gets the coldest lows in Ardahan Province 12 months of the year (despite being a little lower elevated than Damal).

Damal gets the coldest highs in Ardahan Province most of the year because Damal is the district municipality with lowest diurnal temperature range in Ardahan Province (Göle gets colder at night 12 months of the year).

Göle also gets coldest highs in Ardahan Province but in winter months only.

Edit:

Pay no attention to wikipedia. Somebody from the forum put climate.data.data.org website as a source on wikipedia, which is a stupid website. I dont know why those stupid unofficial weather websites are used on wikipedia by the members of city data forum. Maybe for trolling?

Climate change is slow, like 1°F every 30 years or something like that. That's not what I'm talking about
