^The minima are (somewhat) acceptable, but the max temperatures are just bad. Even in Greer.

Today will have a max of 46f with all-day overcast here.

I hate how some people make it out to be like it’s super below average. “Arctic April”? Come on, that’s an exaggeration. We’re only 2 degrees below average in Albany, along with other areas in the northeast this month so far. Actually, Philadelphia is .7 above average so far in April. So how is it a “Arctic April” for them? Compared to the first three months of the year, this is nothing in terms of departures. We were close to 10 degrees above average in January and the following months were still 5 degrees or more above average. This was the case for the whole northeast pretty much all winter except December. We’ve had much cooler April’s.

If you’re sad it’s not 5 degrees or warmer than average this April, then summer may not disappoint you in the northeast. With La Niña forming, you usually see above average summers which can be very warm. Dry as well compared to average.

IF/Until La Nina forms there will be more of this...

MJO is in traditionally cold phases for the time being. May looks like complete crap.

True, the first couple weeks of April were actually a bit above normal here, then it transitioned to a more favorable pattern. It's really only the past 2 weeks that's had awesome negative anomalies. I wish it was even cooler than this.

Really nice day here in northern England. Mostly sunny with a few white clouds and temperatures around 15°C (59°F). Feeling a little chilly in the shade but warm in the sunshine.

Looks to be going downhill for the rest of the week though – with showers or longer spells of rain and temperatures in the low double digits. Can’t complain though given the excellent months weather that we’ve had. By the weekend it looks to be turning a little warmer but still unsettled.
