Now this would be nice. 2011 looking like an analog? Strange because April 2011 was exceptionally mild in Chicago while this April is -0.7F below average. The summer of 2011 was very good. Especially July and August.

I don't think 2011 will line up here, as we had a cold May that year, while the forecast is for a hot May here this year. The last year that we had a hot May and the east didn't was 2009 or possibly 2013

Summer of 2011 featured exceptionally high humidity in the Indianapolis area with dew points making it to the upper 70’s on several occasions that summer. It was also much hotter than average. 2012 was almost as hot but not nearly as humid as 2011 was. Both were great summers in my opinion, as was 2010. The summer of 2011 was downright brutal in terms of heat in the Dallas/Fort Worth area OTOH, with severe drought conditions and over a month straight of 100+ temperatures, I don’t think people living in Fort Worth ever want to see another summer like 2011 again.

It was one for the record books here as well, August of 2011 had a mean temp of 98.3°F, making it our hottest August ever and tied July of 2009 for our hottest month ever!

Another day of clouds.
Another day of rain (over 5" for the month again)
Another day of 40s.

So lets see... Boston, February 2018 had a warmer max temp than March or April

January 2020 has a warmer temp than February, March or April.

Other years where April DID NOT have a warmer temp then previous months.

1904 & 1910 March & April tied.

1920 & 1921, 1945, 1946, 1963, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1998 March had warmest temp

We've already tied today's record high. It was 101°F at 3pm, still 100°F now, just a 33°F dewpoint though, so heat index is just 95°F

Dear mother nature... ahhh forget it, do what you want want.

Impressive late season snow event ongoing in NY, even in fairly low elevations for this time of year, down to 1100 feet. Heavier banded precipitation aiding in cooling the column to near freezing & strong anticyclone to the north support a ptype of snow.
