Bit of a weird day. Had steady west winds and actually made it up to 68. Then suddenly at 3 pm it dropped even though wind direction didn't really change at all.
Was 63 by 5 and 55 by sunset (~10 minutes ago). Had more of a late Fall feel to it except a sunset at 8:15.

36F low tonight, dewpoint 28F, very dry air for this time of year at lower latitudes north of the Ohio River.

I just like cold weather period. The colder the better. I would like to move to Minnesota or North Dakota someday (though miraculously, we've actually been cooler than them recently).

I went for a 15 mile bike ride earlier today in the rain/mist. Temp was 47f. Northern Brookhaven town. I would still have been able to do it in sunny 60s, but I would have needed to bring much more water. In 80s, I wouldn't even try.

Now this would be nice. 2011 looking like an analog? Strange because April 2011 was exceptionally mild in Chicago while this April is -0.7F below average. The summer of 2011 was very good. Especially July and August.

Impressive late season snow event ongoing in NY, even in fairly low elevations for this time of year, down to 1100 feet. Heavier banded precipitation aiding in cooling the column to near freezing & strong anticyclone to the north support a ptype of snow.

Maybe when we get warm springs again I'll want the same. 3 seasons I like it cold but that 1 season I like it warm recently it just doesnt want to be. And what's up with the clouds and rain!

You should move to the mountains of Tennessee. Snowing there now.
