Haha yeah, that would be great but I think the Euro is being a bit too optimistic. Strong chance it turns out to be rain or sleet or nothing IMO. I'd love to be wrong though; I want another April 2018 type event.
Yeah the gfs has been beating the Euro so far for accuracy
This March sure isn't like other March's in recent years..
Since 2013 only 2 years were above normal for March.
This year running almost 1° above normal so will be 3 times in 8 yrs
As of yesterday were are at +7.2F for the month at ORD. IKK is at +5.0F but there is a day missing (3/8) on the NWS Chicago website.
The Chicago airports hit 50 degrees today while we here in the far south suburbs hit 58 degrees. It clouded over and is getting windy and some light rain here
Never did hit 70 like forecast. Only 65. Lot of tornados in Alabama today. Hoping that things calm down overnight. Nothing worse than a tornado at 3 am.
Storms came through last night moving at an unbelievable 80mph! I don't know that I've ever personally witnessed storms moving that fast. Very windy overnight. Indianapolis reported highest wind gusts of 55 mph. The highest across the area was 62mph southeast of town. Thankfully we never lost power.
