Temps topped out at around 72-73 here today with the sun out for most of the day. Pleasant. Looks like this will continue for a few days before unsettled and wet weather moves in toward the latter half of the week.
Beautiful day on the lake. Made it to 75. Had a lot of fun on my jet ski. This afternoon the water was the busiest I've seen since September. Friday and a few weeks ago I was the only one on a jet ski. Everyone else was fishing or on slow pontoon boats. Yesterday noticed a couple of other jet skis and a wider assortment of boats. Today, all types were out enjoying the weather. Surely we're done with freezes now. Nothing remotely close in the forecast which extends past record late freeze territory. Really hate that I have to go back to work tomorrow!
Meanwhile, in Europe they're ready to have a massive snowfall (for the date) in most of Germany and The Netherlands, capped with a cold blast wich gonna feel like mid winter in the UK.
This season, aside of the polar votex event, Europe outdone the US overall in terms of snow, something that is not the norm I think.
Currently here, in Downeast Maine...36F Degrees, Dew Point 32F Degrees, Winds NNW 11mph...
Friday began with blue skies and such beauty! Saturday slipped in the same and Sunday sighed and gave into the clouds, but resisted the rain...
Working 72hrs a week down on MDI as a Caregiver!
Wednesday and Friday from mid-morning off and the cherished weekend too...
More time now to view the Birch Meadows!
and more time to share these experiences with you..
Thankful!

The US being mostly lower latitude helps a lot. Usually around now because of the intense sun angle, the country goes from being cold to warm quickly due to surface heating. Most of the country is already UV index 6 or higher now, with a lot of the south at almost 8-10. Already higher than what most in Europe would enjoy in summer. The major cold has retreated well north now into the Arctic and upper Canada. Not to return till next winter.
