Tornado SW of Atlanta in Newnan. Apparently debris was lifted all the way into the city limits of Atlanta.
Got woken up at 130 this morning with a lot of lightning. One bolt I could tell was just across the pond from me. But that passed fairly quickly.

Just like February, March, and December, April will start cool after a warm stretch. A high of 56 would be the coldest high on April 1 in the entire history of KPDK (98-present). Amazingly, the last two years also featured highs below 60 on April 1. Low 35 forecast for the 2nd. That would tie the record set just last year. I'm just hoping that the lows don't keep dropping and hit freezing. Development is really starting to pick up. A day or two ago I noted that we seemed to be behind compared to last year. Well we're quickly catching up. Might still be behind but literally just by a couple of days.

11-15 day is looking nice. Highs ranging from 72-77. Lows in the mid 50s. I really can't ask for much better.

I think models will completely bust for the first week of April. They are calling for widespread warmth here but the AO and NAO are going negative. How long will it last?

It was a humid and very mild night. Overnight low of 60 was reached at 11 pm last night before temps started going up again..it was already mid 60s by early morning. It hit 70 before 9 am. It feels like an early summer morning. Digging it.

Yep, feels gross this morning.

Might have a brief period of average temperatures next week. Guess I should be thankful.

Used to be around May 12th when i saw my first 90 and now it is in March or early Apr. No rain at all for weeks. Fires will start to be a problem within a month.

Temps now warming rapidly with the strong southwest, downsloping winds, almost like the Santa Anas in SoCal, but humid. 70s and maybe 80s in spots! Current forecast has 77º for me on the North Shore, I'm near LGA. NYC could definitely shoot for 80s. Even spots on the Jersey Shore are in the 80s. Likely daily records today! Next week is chilly (March 29-April 2 only really), then back to spring warmth in the longer range.

High today 10c, low 3.4c, morning cloudy, from noon it was sunny.

They forecast 13-14c degrees for tomorrow which is nice for March. But in general the first spring month of this year has been cheesy here with temperatures below normal and with three cold waves.
