Seasonably mild for the next couple of days then well above average at times starting Monday and continuing much of next week. Little to no chance of appreciable rainfall until at least Wednesday.

but what goes up must come down. European going gangbuster for cold in the 8-15 day for the Eastern US including a ton of snow out east.

Yup, seen it all before. A few days or even a week of super mild weather in March or even late February and people think winter is over but inevitably winter comes storming back, and usually with a vengeance.

Anything above 35° latitude in North America, your spring is not guaranteed until AT LEAST April.

The latest ever Tmax below freezing in D.C. occurred on March 24th. I generally consider around that time to be the cut-off time for the possibility of real winter here. After that you can get chilly spring days but those are far more likely to just be kind of 'meh' in the 40s than wintry in any real sense.

Yup, very nice and welcome 60s! Also seeing no more freezes beyond this Sunday down here in Coastal LI. Sounds like spring and the growing season starting soon! Just what we need after a horrible February.

So I went out and bought a jet ski
Of course, when I bought it this morning it actually started sleeting at 45 degrees...
But by noon the sun came out and we made it into the low 50s. Just took the new ski out. Hands were a little cold but my dry suit kept me dry and warm. People probably thought I was crazy for being on a jet ski in the low 50s. Water temp also in the 50s.
Definitely taking it out tomorrow when we'll be in the low 60s and sunny. Cannot wait for summer. 30 minutes was a blast. Gonna take it out a lot more and a lot longer.

70s from Tuesday on. Could hit 80 Friday.
