Turkey broke its all time record with 49.1 degrees in Southeastern Turkey near the Syria. The previous record was 49 degrees, which was only 0.1 degrees cooler.

Wished i could have a low of 49 this time of year. Super heavy rain just 60 miles to my north at around 9" this am and all the heavy rain cuts off just 10 miles to my north like always.

Max and Min temps this summer so far at Bridgeport, CT.


Only 1 heat wave.
Only 15 days above 85°.
June had more well above normal days than July & into August
The heat came, then the cold front came. Its been a good summer.
Nice lows in the 50s/low 60s past 5 days too




By the end of August the max temp normal goes below 80°. (Pink dots) It's coming. Fall first, then Winter. You cant stop it.

Front sitting off the coast.

Watch the North movement of the clouds past 4rs..
Not raining north of Ocean City, MD yet though.
Staying off the coast for now but expected to get rain tonight as the whole Jet shifts north. Then the heat arrives after that..

Today will 83F and sunny here in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. Same temps in Chicago. Could see a hot weekend and hot temps continue into early next week.
