See NWS/Chicago's forecast is quite as hot. In fact only shot with possible 90s will be maybe today and Tuesday, but it will be very humid with roaming t-storms. We just can't get 90s like we used to.

Look at the late season 90s 100s of the past. Such as 1947 and the 22 90-degree days after August 8th in 1959

And then we have the GFS.... 0Z run versus the 6z. The 0z is obviously BS but even the 6z doesn't make sense given the state of the MJO which will be in Phase 2

The GEFS seems to get it and showing cooler conditions here in the 6-10 and not as cool in the 10-14

CFSv2 showing big area of the Central US cool in the 8-14

Don't know why you ever want a 90 or more day ever? If i never saw over 80f it would be too soon.

I would never want to see a 90 anywhere. You can always come to FL and get all you want. I would die for your summer temps and all the rain you get vs my area.

I was there in June. I'm looking to by a house between Naples and Tarpon Springs but am going to wait until prices come down. Florida or Arizona will be where I will spend my retirement but not planning on moving for 5-10+ years yet. However the way these imbeciles are running Illinois I might not wait for a full pension and gtfo of here before then

There will be another housing crash by then. In Pacso county home prices drop 50% or more vs the rest of FL west of US19. Many homes on the water for 250k vs 500k and up just south of Pasco county. Both choices are hell if you ask me. Super heated dry dew points in the southwest with very boring weather vs super insane high dew points in FL and no winters at all anymore.

The southeast coast of FL is much better than the gulf for weather. More rain and lower dew points.

Weak 1015 mb low off the southern New Jersey coast. Keeping temps in the 70s under the clouds

See the spinning? Maybe a hint at whats coming this fall? NorEasters?

No idea beyond 7 days but before then I agree you have limited shots at 90s. There's a little wave heading to the Great Lakes region downstream of the massive western ridge that will likely put a lid on your temperatures. No such lid on temperatures in the west as far as synoptics are concerned; the limiting factor out west will be the smoke.
