Look at the weatherbox, there very much was snow.

And if Tallahassee isn't cold enough, how about 2014 Pensacola? More snow, and there was a -1C/-5C day in January so it did 'stay cold'.

You have to argue PENSACOLA in 2014 was more like Minneapolis than Miami since it got snow and had a day stay cold, plus the climate (including that January with the cold day and the snow) was colder than an average year in Dallas. Do you want to make that argument?

But I guess we should take this discussion to the thread about it.

If this was just a bit more SE it would have been golden for Southern Ontario. Hopefully the Friday system delivers.

We're not getting a lot of snow in the valley, but mountains 12-20" and we're getting the cold

At this point I would not be so sure. At the time of your comment the forecast may have been -1C, but 3 hours ago it was changed to 2C and now it's 1C.
Being a week away, there is more room for error. As with many other forecasts we'll have to wait and see - but akin to what happened to Charleston Airport's overperformance on December 12 despite a safe forecast, I will be very happy no matter what happens.

It looks like January 17 might be your only shot for the whole winter.

Loop past 4hrs. Tons of precip and wind coming. Back edge is now in PA.

The thin black lines are the isobars. The tighter they are the windier it is. There is a 977mb powerhouse storm over Michigan!

I now like that I didn't get a big snowstorm. Yikes for folks north of me.
