I know lol. I woke up this morning to see Central Park at 15° we were closer to 20° though, I had to check it twice because I was shocked lol.
Brrr! It was somewhere between 6 and 10 degrees this morning. While it isn't unheard of to get this cold in December, normally we don't get it until January. But I'm not complaining. The local ski resorts are now in full swing.
Snow started about 1:15 here is Sw VA and the driveway went from black to white in 10 minutes. The horses have headed to the barn.
If the numbers from the Weather Underground are right we'll have 16 to 25 inches of snow from this storm. I'm assuming we might loose power, hope it's not for a week but it's not uncommon around here as tree limbs come down under the weight of so much snow and take down power lines when they fall.

Well this is me right now..........burrrrrrrr. Then on the weekend........a big, big, storm. So glad my gift shopping is done. But, I will need Christmas food, so hoping there is a pause.
More snow might be coming up to NH over the next 24 hours. It ALL DEPENDS on the exact track of the storm, though. I know 24-36 hours ago they weren't forecasting 12''+ for DC.
20° and cloudy right now. The storm is right on our doorstep here in Northwest Jersey.
The NWS is forecasting 4-8 inches here, but I wouldn't be surprised if we at least see a foot. It depends on the exact tract. Coastal areas will probably be hit the hardest.

Talk about a turn of events lol, its usually the exact opposite.
Is it just me or the cold weather hasn't set in yet...... Esp in the eastern half of the country. Chicago, NYC, Atl, Dallas, even Wichita,ks are all running above avg for the month. Exception for Wichita, now its more wintry but it wasn't the first half of the month in which it was as warm or even warmer than ATL... Usually Nov is the start of the colder weather but nothing yet.... Definetly not complaining, just how long will it last? Forever, I hope..... I'm not a fan of cold weather.......
No winter weather!!!! I am getting 1 foot of snow tonight! 3 to 4 inches and hour!
Temperatures are in the -20s and -30s in the Upper Midwest!
Even Florida isn't escaping the cold. Lows dropping into the 40s as far south as Miami. Daytime highs in South Florida are expected to be in the 50s and 60s over the next several days (including Key West). This means much of the South will experience a deep freeze.
Horrible conditions in Buxton, surprise heavy snow showers have dropped another 2.5" on top of slippery ice and old snow from two weeks ago, and cars are skidding about everywhere outside, people having to get out and push.
We don't have snow/winter tires here in England and these heavy snow showers took everyone by surprise so no gritted roads.
I've got to travel down to Coventry tomorrow, so I'm hoping this is quite localized and there won't be much (any) travel disruption! I'll be down there for six weeks but it will be just as cold there by then as it is here now!
