Hello again QuilterChick, yes I am looking for a job in Brevard. It is smaller, but its about three times the size of the town I live in now. I am currently employed, and won't be leaving until a job is secured. I will look up that property though, thanks.
My son is not much into sports, but he has done (& likes) track, and plays the drums. He likes to play video games. Is there a public pool nearby? We both like to swim. He is a rising freshman, was in a private Christian school, but a good public school is desired. He is a great writer and I would like to see him further develop this talent. I thought family-oriented activities are death to teenagers? J/k, but not really. I was hoping we could rent in Brevard itself, I don't need much except a garden and a porch with a view.

Not sure if there is a public pool in Brevard, I doubt it. You could call the Town Hall. There is one in Hendersonville and a running trail (not track), but the 4 high schools have tracks.

Occasionally, this forum/much of CD is like the reference desk at the library, circa 1966...walk/call in and ask about Alexander The Great, or Brazil's top export or...

If one has a computer and is able to come on CD forums, it seems that one could do some research on a place they are considering moving to, and then ask some specific questions and get opins on topics via forums like these.

mlhm5-carefully rereading, I see you already said there was a great public pool, thanks! I will refrain from asking any more questions until after 1. Doing my own research and 2. Securing a job offer.

We love it here, and there are plenty of great neighborhoods full of families here.

You won't have all the mess and traffic as in Asheville, and property taxes here in Henderson County are a LOT lower than in the Asheville - Buncombe County area. Bleah!

Come on over! Give us a look-see!

I didn't get the job, still looking. I have wanted to live in NC my entire adult life, maybe I will get to retire there!
