Jesse Israel has very good plants and yes they last ,but you can not avoid the underground creatures we have here( like moles )that will nibble on your roots I have bought many plants at Jesses. B.Barns used to be in east asheville area and bought many plants with them. Now that they went upscale and moved,I rarely go.Also Lowes and Home Depot have good plants.What is difficult here s to gage the soil,it varies from one area to another. So it will be just trial and error.
