Oh man, Saucy, I LOVE that bank of moss. I have an irrational love of moss.
haha that was what was drawing me to take that picture. It wasn't an awesome story telling or visually interesting type picture but the color was stunning.
Since I haven't tossed up any pics in 7 months, I thought these from the past few weeks were worth a look.
The 'super moon' came, but we had a very cloudy night then, so by the time the moon cleared the clouds it had lost its jumbo size, when it was just over the horizon; by the time I could see it, it was normal size, though one could read a newspaper on our deck, it was so bright.
And, a couple from last evening, as the setting sun rays, 'behind us', just caught the clouds that were being spun off from TS Beryl. The color was fabulous, and there is a slight rainbow on right edge of first pic:
3 mins later it was fading, but looked like this; 3 mins later, it was dusk and gonzo. Thanks for looking! BR, mD
Thanks for the 'looks', and kind words...
SS: yes, standing on a shed roof, pretty high up.
saucy: amazing what cams can do these days, with 'pushed' ISO, good but fading light, and luck.
A couple of flower shots: a rudbeckia blooming, close in, and shot with my 8 yr old little Canon S50 P&S,
but it has good macro and a huge for its time/cam size old CCD sensor... unfortunately, the near daily rain has
put a hurt on our several native flame azaleas, so the blooms get squashed, knocked off or rot, quickly.
Thanks for looking,
GL, mD
