2) Somewhere in Brazil, if money were no object, RIO DE JANEIRO sounds great.
3) Some English-friendly city in Asia. HONG KONG would be ideal.
4) Ahmm...hmmm...maybe somewhere in mainland America. Carribbean access sounds great. Let's make it simple and say MIAMI.
So, there you have it, HONOLULU, RIO DE JAINERO, HONG KONG, and MIAMI.
Of course, since I'm not wealthy, I wouldn't readily consider those in my current financial state. But, a hypothetical, those four would be real nice.
The reason I would not own a house in Brazil (or any other 3rd world country) if I was extremely wealthy, is because I always hear about stories of rich people in that country getting kidnapped.
This is weird...I so cannot think of where I would own homes...I guess I don't really want that many houses...just one big, gorgeous, beachside one on a quiet, tropical island with crystal clear water...and I'd rather stay at the 5 star hotels everywhere else in the world that I visit.
1) Quit my job
2) downsize into a small, humble ranch home on a basement
3) Move from Atlanta to North Georgia Mountains
4) Open a school solely to help blind children so I can finally do something useful with my life and to give it purpose
5) Pray 5-10 times a day thanking God I am no longer in Telecom or anything with tech once and for all and then go to Church each weekend.
6) Visit Hawaii 4 times a year....hey, I'm not crazy....just dull.
Hawaii (not Honolulu or the Big Island), the Carribean somewhere, or Miami, Palm Beach, or Naples area for tropical weather and culture.
Moscow (if it wasn't for the extreme racism I've read about)
Japan (Tokyo et al)
Hong Kong
Austria
Germany
....if money is no object, of course
