Can anyone explain to me what's so good about Frech food besides the Croissaint/Baguette.
I find it the most overrated/overpriced cuisine in the word.
btw i see that Thai has 19 votes wow.
I had Thai food once in my life it was okay, i like spicey food but the Thai bring it to a whole new level.
It was so hot it pretty much killed all the other flavours.
kinda suprised Chinese only has 8 votes it seems like they have restaurants on every corner.
American (have to admit, there's something about a good burger and coke)
Chinese (authentic, but American version is also tasty)
Indian
Italian
Lebanese (I do like Lebanese food, but I picked this to represent a lot of Arabic food)
Mexican
Honorable mention goes to Korean and Thai, but I couldn't vote for them above the others. I'm sure there is something I would love about all those cuisines!

I'm in Vietnam now and most of the food I've had has been delicious!
If I had to pick one it would have to be Italian or Malaysian though...although the Italian we tend to get is either pizza or pasta, they are both great. Malaysian, which doesn't seem that big in the US, is delicious because it fuses the cuisines of different parts of Asia and my family is from that part of the world. Indonesian is similar and also really good.
Chinese, it depends. I'm not a big fan of Westernized Chinese food. It's such a huge region; I find the spicy food of Southwestern China delicious, but am not a fan of Cantonese or Northern Chinese cuisine. Mexican can be delicious but it can get old with the same ingredients. Indian curries are delicious if done right but I couldn't stomach curry day after day everyday. I really dig Japanese as well. I've hardly eaten at a French restaurant so I can't really comment much on it.
I would say that my favorites are:
1. Japanese because it is just so tasty and healthy.
2. Mexican
3. Greek
4. Korean BBQ is fantastic. I love kimchi also. Those Koreans do know how to cook that's for sure!

France has a lot of good dishes, but the style varies pretty greatly because France sits where the butter loving and olive oil loving parts of Europe overlap the most. The French also have a really strong emphasis on good ingredients as a basis (so in some sense you're right with the croissants and baguettes because even these really basic things are simply made very well in France).
Some things I like a lot are various quiches, bouillabaisse, duck confit, and lots of cheeses.
Southeast Asian for me, particularly Malaysian, Indonesian, Singaporean and Filipino. Very rich in flavors and very diverse in ingredients.
